55-second online moving-zone control

Crown Shift by Arcadigo

Crown Shift is a free 1v1 through 4v4 online moving-zone control game with 55-second regulation. Follow the Crown as it rotates to a new location about every nine seconds, contest rival presence and score only while your team controls the active zone uncontested. Every player has the same directional Repulse, with no health, damage or elimination; a tied round enters up to 10 seconds of first-score sudden death.

How Crown Shift works

Crown Shift is a free online zone-control game for two balanced teams. Move into the glowing Crown and keep every opposing player outside it. The server awards one point on each 250-millisecond control tick only when one team has at least one player in the zone and the other team has none. An empty or contested Crown awards no points, so bodies inside the circle matter more than merely passing nearby.

The objective moves during the round

The Crown rotates to a new arena location about every nine seconds. During the final 1.5 seconds of the current cycle, scoring pauses and a dashed telegraph reveals the next destination. That neutral transition gives both teams the same information and enough time to choose between arriving early, screening a route or taking a safer angle.

Score more during 55-second regulation

The higher team score at the regulation horn wins. If the scores are tied, the first uncontested scoring tick wins sudden death immediately. If neither side earns that tick within 10 seconds, the match is recorded as a draw; distance to the Crown and position at the deadline never create an invented winner.

One equal positioning tool

Repulse creates space without dealing damage

Every player receives the same directional Repulse. Aim first, then use the action to displace a rival from a useful angle or protect a teammate crossing into the Crown.

Crown Shift Repulse rules
PropertyPublished valueWhat it means
DirectionVisible aim lineThe action follows the direction shown before release rather than choosing a hidden target.
Range180 arena unitsRepulse rewards a committed approach instead of reaching across the whole arena.
Cooldown3.2 secondsTiming matters around each control window; nobody can continuously push a rival.
Stun0.3 secondsA short interruption makes displacement readable without removing a player from the contest.
DamageNoneThere is no health bar, death, elimination or stronger character loadout.

Read the next zone before chasing

A point earned now matters, but following a lost Crown until the final moment can leave the next destination open. When the telegraph appears, compare the current score with the travel distance. A leading team may protect the final available ticks; a trailing team may gain more by rotating early and establishing uncontested control as soon as the next Crown activates.

Contest first, clear second

Simply entering a rival-controlled Crown stops its scoring. That makes a safe contest valuable even while Repulse is cooling down. Once inside, aim toward the nearest exit and time Repulse when a rival commits; pushing without a useful direction can leave the opponent closer to the next zone.

Spread around the Crown in team modes

Stacking every teammate in the center makes the group easy to displace and slow to rotate. Keep one player in control, one near the likely entry lane and another ready to leave when the telegraph appears. Roles remain positional and temporary because every teammate has identical movement and Repulse values.

Crown Shift team modes
ModeTotal playersUseful opening plan
1v12Contest immediately, then save Repulse for the rival’s committed entry.
2v24Keep one controller and one player watching the next rotation lane.
3v36Use separate entry angles so one Repulse cannot clear the whole team.
4v48Assign control, screening and early-rotation roles without overcrowding the circle.

Registered parties of two to four can enter supported public team queues together and remain on the same side. Party matches are still public matchmaking, not private rooms.

Crown Shift FAQ

Questions before the first rotation

Is Crown Shift free to play?

Yes. Crown Shift is free in a supported desktop or mobile browser, with guest play and no separate installer, launcher or browser extension.

How do you score in Crown Shift?

Move into the active Crown zone and keep every rival out. Each uncontested control tick adds one point to the occupying team; contested and empty zones award nothing.

When does the Crown move?

The active zone rotates about every nine seconds. Its current location becomes neutral for the final 1.5 seconds while a dashed telegraph reveals the next Crown position.

What does Repulse do?

Repulse projects in the visible aim direction across a limited 180-unit range. It pushes and briefly stuns a rival to change position, but deals no damage and cannot eliminate anyone.

How long is a Crown Shift match?

Regulation lasts 55 seconds. If the scores are tied, the first uncontested scoring tick wins sudden death; if neither team scores within 10 seconds, the match is a draw.

Which Crown Shift team sizes are available?

Crown Shift supports 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4, for a total of two to eight players. Every format uses balanced teams.

Does Crown Shift use health or character loadouts?

No. Every player has identical movement and the same 3.2-second Repulse cooldown. There is no health, damage, elimination or loadout advantage.

Can I queue with friends or AI?

Registered parties of two to four can enter supported public team queues together. Instant Match may fill open places with clearly labelled AI; Human Only never adds AI.
