Move through one sweeping server-controlled searchlight with two mirrored beams, activate three terminals in order and reach the exit. Runner moves fastest and performs terminal interactions; Hacker deploys Decoy to redirect both beams, with roles rotating every 10 seconds so every side receives equal role time before an escape can resolve. The first valid escape wins; simultaneous escapes draw; otherwise terminal progress and server score decide at the horn.

What is the purpose of Veil Run?

Adapt to two useful jobs on one route: advance quickly as Runner, then protect that progress from exposure as Hacker after the next shared role rotation.

The objective

Activate all three terminals in order and reach the exit before the opposing side. A first escape wins; otherwise ordered progress and score decide at 60 seconds, with an exact tie recorded as a draw.

Your first match

Read both cones of the single sweeping searchlight before entering a lane.
As Runner, use Interact on the numbered terminals in order.
As Hacker, aim Decoy inside the arena so redirecting both beams opens a real route.
Expect at least one role rotation before either side can escape.

Every player enters with the same actions. Timing and coordination create the advantage; there is no paid loadout or hidden stat bonus.

Questions before the first match

What is the goal in Veil Run?

Activate three terminals in order and reach the exit before the opposing side while avoiding prolonged exposure to the sweeping searchlight.

Why do Runner and Hacker roles rotate?

The shared server timer swaps the useful role every ten seconds, so both players receive equal role time and must adapt rather than keep one permanent advantage.

What does Holo-Decoy do?

The Hacker places a short-lived false signal that can redirect attention and create a safer route. It does not move a real player or award progress by itself.

How is an unfinished race decided?

A first valid escape wins. At the 60-second horn, ordered terminal progress and server score decide; an exact tie remains a draw.

Can Veil Run use bots?

Instant Match may fill open seats with clearly labelled AI after searching for people. Human Only waits for every required person and never inserts AI.
