48-second online rhythm duel

Tempo Forge by Arcadigo

Tempo Forge is a free 1v1 and 2v2 online rhythm game played across a 48-second, 120 BPM server timeline. Strike the lane that matches each visible cue, preserve the team combo and build eight accurate cues into a Link. Encore converts that earned Link into double value for the next four judged cues; it never repairs a miss automatically. The server judges every Perfect, Good and Miss, while clearly labelled AI can fill an Instant Match.

What is the purpose of Tempo Forge?

Read a shared beat, strike the visible cue lane and turn accurate team timing into a stronger forge score.

The objective

Finish with the highest server-judged team score. A tied 48-second set continues until the next accurate hit, with an eight-second limit before a draw.

Your first match

  1. Choose 1v1 or 2v2 and a disclosed matchmaking mode.
  2. Strike the lane that matches the current visible cue.
  3. In 2v2, every fourth cue is linked; both teammates must hit inside its shared timing window.
  4. Trigger Encore before a readable four-cue section, then keep judging each cue normally.

Focused controls

One core action and one signature decision

Every player enters with the same actions. Timing and coordination create the advantage; there is no paid loadout or hidden stat bonus.

Hit

Strike the radial lane that matches the visible cue inside its timing window. Perfect earns 100 base points, Good earns 70 and Miss earns none before the Link multiplier.

Encore

Spend an earned eight-hit Link to double the next four judged cues. Those cues still need real timing and can still miss.

Tempo Forge FAQ

Questions before the first match

What is the goal in Tempo Forge?

Finish with the higher server-judged rhythm score. Strike the visible cue lane inside its timing window, keep the team combo alive and use earned Links deliberately.

Which controls strike the four lanes?

On a keyboard, D, F, J and K map directly to the four lanes. Touch players use four matching lane buttons, and E or the dedicated button triggers Encore.

What does Encore do?

Eight accurate hits earn a Link. Spending it on Encore doubles the next four judged cues, but those cues still require correct timing and can still miss.

How long is a match?

Regulation is 48 seconds at 120 BPM. A tied score continues until the next accurate hit, with an eight-second limit before a draw.

Can Tempo Forge use bots?

Instant Match searches for people first and may then add clearly labelled AI with bounded reaction jitter and mistakes. Human Only never adds AI.

Instant Match searches for people first and may fill open seats with clearly labelled AI. Bots use the same notes, timing windows, Encore rule and server scoring.

Human Only never adds AI and waits until every seat in the selected format is held by a person or the player cancels.
