Tandem Tilt by Arcadigo

Tandem Tilt is a 60-second cooperative precision run for one or two players. Solo directions stay fixed. In Duo mode one player controls only left and right while the other controls only up and down, then a clear 2–1 pause swaps their roles after checkpoint three. Clear five checkpoints, avoid moving hazards and finish with the highest sync score.

Two colored control axes guiding one bright orb through the Tandem Tilt neon course

Two players share one movement stick

In Duo mode, the cyan pilot controls only the horizontal axis while the violet pilot controls only the vertical axis. Each role owns only half of the movement. Read the next gate, call the direction and combine both inputs to bend one bright orb through the route.

The course changes the conversation

Five checkpoints divide the 60-second run. Moving gates, pulse bumpers and narrow timing windows ask the duo to alternate between speed and restraint. A collision costs time and sync, but never removes a player or forces a long restart.

Duo roles swap at checkpoint three

Solo controls stay fixed for the entire run. In Duo mode, the game pauses at the third checkpoint for a large 2–1 warning; then the horizontal pilot inherits vertical movement and the vertical pilot takes horizontal movement.

A result worth sharing

Finish with a duo fingerprint

Every completed run produces a transparent result: finish time, checkpoint progress, collisions and a 0–100 sync score. It is a playful coordination test—not a hidden personality score.

Horizontal pilot

Creates the line, controls entry angles and knows when to stop pushing sideways.

Vertical pilot

Sets the climb, reads moving hazards and times the final gate crossing.

Shared orb

Combines both inputs immediately. Smooth agreement raises sync; collisions and frantic reversals lower it.

Desktop and touch controls

Solo players use WASD, arrow keys or the complete touch pad. In local Duo mode, one player uses A/D or Left/Right while the other uses W/S or Up/Down. On touch screens, separate horizontal and vertical pads keep each role obvious.

Designed for a quick replay

The complete course fits inside one minute. Restarting keeps the same route so a duo can turn one obvious mistake into a cleaner second attempt. Read or share the current result card before starting the next run.

Tandem Tilt FAQ

Before the first shared run

Is Tandem Tilt free to play?

Yes. Tandem Tilt is free in a supported desktop or mobile browser, with no separate download, launcher or browser extension.

Can I play Tandem Tilt alone?

Yes. Solo mode gives one player full horizontal and vertical control, making it useful for learning the course before a shared run.

How does Duo mode work?

One player controls only left and right while the other controls only up and down. Both inputs move the same orb at the same time.

When do the controls swap?

Solo directions never swap. In Duo mode the game pauses after the third checkpoint, shows the new axis assignments with a large 2–1 countdown, then resumes.

How is the sync score calculated?

Smooth progress, completed checkpoints and a clean finish raise sync. Collisions, repeated emergency reversals and an unfinished run reduce it.

Does Tandem Tilt use online matchmaking?

The first release is a solo and same-device local co-op preview. It does not create a public matchmaking ticket or claim a server-verified result.

Does Tandem Tilt work on touch screens?

Yes. Solo mode uses a complete directional pad, while Duo mode shows separate horizontal and vertical controls for the two pilots.
